If your nonprofit organization pays for electricity (as a renter or owner), you may be able to save money and convert to clean energy!

Nonprofit Montgomery and the Arts & Humanities Council are exploring options to assist Montgomery County nonprofits in identifying and purchasing clean electricity from competitive energy suppliers at a savings compared to standard offer service. We invite you to learn about energy supply options and the services that suppliers, brokers and marketers can provide.

Assuming there is sufficient interest, Nonprofit Montgomery and the Arts & Humanities Council will facilitate an informal aggregation to pool purchases.

Participating nonprofits may realize a savings of 10 - 15% while also shifting from brown to green energy.

  • Hear from Councilmember Roger Berliner, Lead Member for Energy and Environment on the County Council's Transportation, Infrastructure, Energy, and Environment Committee.
  • Hear from nonprofits who have taken action and purchased competitive energy supply at a savings and who will illustrate how simple the process can be.
  • Hear from Rabbi Fred Dobbs, chair of Greater Washington Interfaith Power & Light, board member of the Coalition on the Environment and Jewish Life and rabbi of Adat Shalom in Potomac.
  • Hear from several competitive energy suppliers who will showcase their service options, procurement process, clean energy offerings, and general range of savings possible. RSVP today! Nonprofit Montgomerybutterfly photo kids
