What We Do

Each year, Nonprofit Montgomery, through discussions with nonprofit leaders across the county and in consultation with county government leaders, identifies a number of tasks under each of the elements of its mission.

Goals

  • Influencing and strengthening the way nonprofits and the County do business
  • Serving as a resource to decision makers and a strong voice for those who depend on nonprofits
  • Accessing and sharing innovations aimed at improving our work and achieving efficiencies
Peer Learning

Tables for Ten
Nonprofit Montgomery organizes Tables for Ten, an opportunity to have a completely confidential and candid series of  facilitated discussions with peers.  By coming together for support and problem solving, nonprofit leaders are more effective in pursuing common goals as well as our own. Innovated by the Nonprofit Roundtable, each “table” meets three times over breakfast or lunch.  Participants commit to attending all three sessions.  Tables are filled on a first come, first served basis. Past Tables for Ten series have been organized for CEOs of Nonprofits with Budgets under $2 million; CEOs of Nonprofit with Budgets over $5 million; Deputy Directors; and Board Chairs.

New Tables for Ten are announced in our bi-weekly Eblast.

The Table for Development Directors meets bi-monthly. Newcomers are always welcome. For more information, contact Hope Gleicher.

Nonprofit Energy Alliance
A group of nonprofits united for the purpose of using their collective power to obtain cheaper and greener electricity. It is not a formal or contractual entity. Participating nonprofits can expect savings of 10 – 15%. For more information visit Nonprofit Energy Alliance .

Government Relations
Educating our elected officials and engaging in advocacy is an essential part of serving the community and impacts the environment in which we work.
